“Clogged arteries” are the result of a build-up of atherosclerotic plaque that obstructs the flow in arteries. This is a process that takes years to develop and there is currently nothing that can undo the damage in a short time span. Medications, diet, exercise, modifying your lifestyle, are all tools that may halt this disease before it causes severe obstruction in coronary arteries or elsewhere.
