i am 54 white female who just had a ekg done for a post surgery this friday the dr. said it came back abnormal. i do have a family history of heart disease. i take atenolol 50 mg i have no sypmtons should i be worried. i am now a mess
I assume you also had a pre-procedure EKG. If so, was there a change? All this means a follow up is necessary. This usually includes blood tests, a cardiac stress test, maybe a Holter monitor test and a cardiac ECHO.
