Question:
I have a hiatel hernia and i was told possibly an irregular heartbeat. Right in the middle of my menstrual cycle when I lay down to sleep at night my heart feels weird, my wrists, ankles, elbow, toes and shoulders will ache and arms and legs sometimes feel tingly had to sleep one night upright in a recliner even falling asleep felt scary. Happens every month mainly while ovulating.Cardiologist insists nothing is wrong could this be caused by hiatel hernia even during ovulation? I also have mild concentric left ventricular hypertrophy, mild regurgitation, 30% blockage and small arteries. Used to get chest pain at night but that stopped after taking diltiazam. Never had high blood pressure when checked but not monitered 24-7.
You obviously have some risk factors for coronary artery disease, but the hiatal hernia has nothing to do with them. However, women often have atypical symptoms fro coronary artery disease.
Here is another link that tells the same in a slightly different way.
You can also calculate your risk for heart disease.
However, I cannot tell whether your symptoms have anything to do with it. The best way to evaluate that is with a stress echo.
Hope this helps
